POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Classics at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified part-time lecturers to teach for the academic year. The availability of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from one quarter to
a year, with the possibility of reappointment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
A PhD in Classics or related discipline (e.g., Comparative Literature with specialization in Classics) is required at the time of application.

Preferred qualifications
Specializations: generalists, experience in teaching Classics courses in translation experience or ability to teach Greek and Latin at all levels, as evidenced from
application materials and though interview.
