About:

I received my BA from Oberlin College in Greek, Latin, and Comparative Literature in 2022. During my time as a undergraduate, I developed an interest in trauma theory, especially through a feminist lens. My undergraduate capstone and honors thesis examined the numerous ways in which female trauma is presented in Seneca’s Troades. In my final semester at Oberlin, I also participated in a private reading focusing on female homosexuality in the ancient Graeco-Roman world. As I pursue my PhD, I aim to expand my interests in trauma studies by investigating the role of women’s trauma in Greek and Latin Tragedy. I look forward to my time as a graduate student at UCSB and the opportunity to develop my research interests, while also gaining teaching experience.
