Anna Taylor

I graduated from Connecticut College in 2026 with a degree in Classical Studies and Government, and a minor in History. While at Connecticut College, I attended a semester abroad at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome. In my senior year, I completed an honors thesis titled Casting Long Shadows: Political Influence on Classical Scholarship in the 20th and 21st Centuries, which examined the role scholars’ contemporary political environments play in Classical scholarship. My thesis was nominated for the Oakes and Louise Ames Prize for excellence in honors study.

At Connecticut College, I also served as the chair of the Classics student advisory board, as well as president of the Connecticut College Mock Trial Team. I earned distinction as a Susanne K. Langer Scholar for academic excellence, as well as numerous CWPA and NESCAC scholar-athlete honors.

My research interests lay in late Republican and early Imperial Roman politics, as well as modern political reception of ancient political systems and philosophies.

Outside of the classroom, I love to swim, play water polo, and bake!
