I came to UCSB after getting my BA in Ancient History and Classics at The Ohio State University and spending a year as a post-bacc student in Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. I am thrilled to be a part of an academic community that has an excellent faculty with a wide range of interests. My focus up to this point has primarily been in the works of M. Tullius Cicero and the history of the Late Roman Republic. Moving forward in my scholarship I am interested in late Republic “crowd politics” and the political strength of the Roman people’s voice.
