Olga Faccani, a graduate student in the Classics department, and Michael Morgan, a studio professor in the Theater & Dance department, will give a presentation at the upcoming meeting of the Southern Section of the California Classics Association discussing “The Trojan Women Project,” which brought together free and incarcerated female youth to retell Euripides’ Trojan Women in an online course this summer.
The meeting will take place remotely on November 14th. For more information and instructions on how to join the meeting, please click here.
Olga and Michael are also preparing a collection of the videos created by the students enrolled in the class: each of them devised a digital story reinterpreting an aspect of Euripides’ play in personal terms. The trailer below gives a short preview of their efforts.
